The Computerized Wrestling Program (CWP) developed in 1984 was designed to print on parallel printers directly connected to the LPT1: printer port of the computer. While technology evolved to computers and printers that are USB or network enabled, CWP users were limited to older computers with parallel printer ports and HP/DOS/PCL6 compatible printers.  In October 2009 everything changed!  CWP programs now run in any Windows environment (including Vista and Windows 7) and print to any Windows printer (USB, Network, wireless, or LPT1:)!

The CWP programs are fully integrated with a DOS Capture program called Printfil! Please read below!

We found a program called Printfil which will capture one or more parallel port (even from LPT1: to LPT9: simultaneously), and redirect your DOS print jobs to any Windows printer, including USB, GDI, IP network printers, fax printers and PDF writers, even if a printer is physically connected to the captured port or no LPT ports are physically installed, on any machine running Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, Windows 7, 2008.  The current version of Printfil 5.9 and was released on September 29, 2009.  The company is from Italy, but they have been easy to deal with.  Their pricing is in Euros (currently 1 Euro is approximately $1.40 US) and they offer quantity discounts.

As program developers, baumspage.com can purchase multiple licenses through the Printfil Reseller Program at their discounted prices and re-distribute them to our clients.  If you’re interested, please go to www.printfil.com and download their Free Trial Software.  It’s a “try before you buy” option with a 30-day limited trial.   If you want to purchase a copy, we’ll sell the license to you at our cost!

We are still in the learning process of integrating Printfil and Computerized Wrestling Programs:

1.       Please note:  There may be a delay after print is selected in CWP while Printfil configures the output for the printer selected!

a.       With Preview active, some outputs make take up to 20 seconds or more to format properly.

b.      Please be patient!  Advise us if there are problem areas requiring program revisions.

2.       When Printfil is configured properly, everything will print as it should.

3.       We suggest using the Preview option to review the output before printing.

If you want to license Printfil after you finish testing, there are several options:

  1. Purchase a Personal Edition license for 49.00 Euros. (1 Euro is approximately $1.40 US dollars.)
    • The Personal Edition license requires activation via internet within 30 days from the registration on the client machine. This means that your PC must be internet connected, at least once to perform this task. Once activated, the internet connection is no more required to run the software.
    • If you want to move a Personal Edition license from a PC to another one, you need to right-click the Printfil's trayed icon and choose the Deactivate Personal Edition License menu entry on the old machine, then you'll be able to reactivate it on the new one.
    • The same procedure is needed even if you want to format your Windows machine or to change the computer name.
  2. Purchase a Standard License for 79.00 Euros. (Approximately $110.00 US Dollars)
    • This license does not require activation, so the client machine does not need to be internet connected.
    • Quantity discounts are available. Just 2 licenses are sold for about the price for a single Personal Edition License.
    • baumspage.com can purchase multiple licenses through the Printfil Reseller Program at their discounted prices and re-distribute them at our cost.  (About 44.00 Euros or $70 US.)
