OHSAA Regional Dual Team Tournament Help Files

  1. The baumspage.com staff has developed an Excel Team Score Template that will be used for generating match results at the finals of the OHSAA State Team Tournaments
    1. Regional site managers are required to download the sample Excel Team Score Template and use it for their tournament
    2. It was customized for the OHSAA State Dual Team Tournaments and includes worksheets for all facets of the tournament.
      1. Download and print the Excel Template Instructions.
      2. After 12:00 PM on Tuesdays before the tournament on Wednesday, the baumspage staff will download the current roster files for all of the teams at each regional site.
        1. The Excel Team Score Template with the teams and rosters already imported will be attached to an e-mailed to the regional site manager and/or the designated computer designee.
        2. When received, click the appropriate worksheet tab to print a program cover, weigh-in sheets, a roster page, and the match templates.
        3. They are automatically generated from the rosters submitted.
    3. The ProgramCover worksheet has the site information and team list.
      1. Managers may use the file "as is" or replace the team list with a schedule of matches.t.
    4. The Weigh-in Sheet will have the names listed as submitted.
      1. Coaches are required to turn-in their NWCA Online OHSAA Wrestling Weight Certification Alpha Master Report or (Weigh-in Sheet).
      2. Weigh-ins will be one hour before the start of the first Regional Quarterfinal or Semifinal Matches.
      3. Teams are permitted to make changes as necessary during weigh-ins.
      4. After weigh-ins are finished, managers must make copies of the weigh-in sheets and distribute them to the other teams at the site.
      5. Wrestlers are permitted to comptete in the class they weigh-in for and the next class above if they meet the weight class requirements,
    5. The Rosters6 or Rosters4 worksheet generate a one page file listing the teams and rosters participating at the site.
      1. Select Rosters6 if there are 5 or more teams and Rosters4 if there are 4 or less.
  2. The Excel Team Score Template will be used to enter and generate complete resutls for all matches. 
    1. Scores can be entered  be entered as the matches progress or immediately after the 285 match is finished..
    2. The Matches template will automatically generate a match results file that can be easily converted to HTML format and posted on the web.
      1. Data entry is pretty straight-forward.  After a match is finished, enter the match results in the appropriate cells.

      2. If a wrestler competes at a different weight, use Edit | Copy | Paste Special | Values to copy name to the correct weight class.  If  it's a totally different wrestler, just type his name and grade.
      3. After each match:
        1. Enter a score or time in the Match Results cell of the winner
        2. Enter the team points the Team Points cell of the winner
          • Use 3, 4, 5, or 6 as appropriate.
        3. Enter an “x” in the Match Results cell of the loser.
      4. Note the following details:
        1. For pins under a minute, use 0:23 or 0:46, etc.
        2. For a Forfeit, enter "Forf.", "ff" or "Forfeit" in the Match Results cell.
        3. For decisions, enter the match score, separated by a hyphen.  Ex: 3-2, 17-11, or 19-3, etc.
          • Do not add md or tf.  It will be automatically included when you assign 4 or 5 team points.
        4. For overtimes, add either sv, tb, or utb after the match score.  Ex: 5-3sv, 6-4tb, or 3-2utb
        5. For a Double Forfeit, enter "0" in the Team Points cell for both wrestlers.
        6. Use Team Point Adjust or Team Point Deductions or adding Tie-Breaker point.
      5. Note the results are gererated in the Summary Section to the right of the yellow column.
      6. Repeat for each match.  The team score summary will be generated automatically.
  3. The completed TeamScore-Region??.xls must be attached to an e-mail to support@baumspage.com and tstried@ohsaa.org. as soon as possible on Wednesdays after wrestling concludes.

    2. The complete file must be attached and e-mailed to support@baumspage.com and tstried@ohsaa.org as soon as possible after you finish.
      1. Save your Excel Team Score Template and attach the final copy after you finish.
        • The Results worksheet will automatically include the results similar to the sample above.
        • You can also print copies for the media that are present and paste the match results into an e-mail to the media that requests them.
