Hy-Tek Reports: Data for Web or Media

Purpose:  To provide data in formats that can be posted directly on a web site or e-mailed to the media. 

Solution:  Hy-Tek Meet Manager creates files in the needed formats whenever reports are generated. 

In Meet Manager for Windows use:
  1. Use Reports | Results | Select All Events
  2. For Gender, select Female, Male, or Both
    1. Both genders is preferred if possible!
    2. If you use separate databases with Boys on one and Girls on the other, generate two sets of data
  3. Select Rounds:
    1. Select All Rounds (Unless you really want Finals Only.)
  4. For the web, leave Columns: blank and under Export File: select Flat HTML
    1. Include in Results: Team points | Top how many: (leave blank) | Relay Names (0-8): 4
    2. Format: Event # Order | Style: Results by heat
    3. Create Report | Save as Results.htm
      1. You do not have to rename the file!  Just identify your tournament if you e-mail the file to someone!
      2. If saving to your computer's hard drive, note the default folder where data is stored.  (or make your own folder.)
    4. To post, login to your account and use Manage Events | Track | Upload Files/Rresults
  5. For the media, leave Columns: blank and under Export File: select AP News
    1. Include in Top how many: 8 (or the number of places you scored) | Relay Names (0-8): 4
    2. Format: Event # Order | Style: Complied
    3. Create Report | click Official AP News with commas and periods | click File file AP News
    4. Save as APResults.txt or whatever is appropriate to identify your site (EX:FF1.TXT)
  6. To generate team scores use: Reports | Scores | Select All
    1. Gender Choice: Male and Female | Report Type: Team
    2. Create Report | Click Envelope Icon
    3. For web:
      1. Format Type: HTML 3.# (Pick one) | Destination: Disk File | OK | Save as A:SCORES.HTM or whatever is appropriate to identify site (EX:FF1score.HTM)
    4. For web:
      1. Format Type: Text | Destination: Disk File | OK | Save as A:SCORES.TXT or whatever is appropriate to identify site (EX:FF1score.TXT)
  7. Follow E-mail Instructions for attaching files.
