the sign-in sheet. Data will update automatically all the way through to the State
Tournament for those wrestlers that qualify! |
Weigh-in 2:00 p.m. (Weigh-ins end after the 285 lbs.
class finishes.)

All wrestlers shall be present and remain in the
designated weigh-in area! |

Weigh-in by weight
class. The weigh-in shall proceed through weight classes beginning at 103 lbs. and
end immediately upon completion of the 285 lbs. class. A contestant may step on and off
the first scale two times. If he fails to make weight on the first scale, he shall
immediately step on each available scale one time in an attempt to make weight! |
Coaches Meeting 3:30 p.m.
Session 1 4:00 p.m. Championship rounds 1 and 2
and Consolation round 1
Weigh-in for Saturday - will begin after the 145 lb matches
of Consolation round 1 and will end ½ hour after the final match ends. Competitors cannot
weigh in for Saturday until they have wrestled their final Friday match.
Saturday, February 28
Weigh-in 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Session 2 10:00 a.m. Consolation round 2,
Championship semi-finals and Consolation round 3 will run together, followed by
Consolation semi-finals
Coaches Meeting 4:30 p.m.
Session 3 5:00 p.m. Championship, 3rd
place and 5th place matches will run simultaneously
General Information
Directions-
- From I-75, going south take exit 198 (Wales Rd Exit) take a
left at the light. Take a right at the second light, which will be Oregon Rd. At the 3rd
light take a left and follow the signs to the SHAC.
- From I-75, going north take exit 198 (Wales Rd Exit) take a
right at the light. Take a right on Oregon Rd. At the 3rd light take a left and
follow the signs to the SHAC.
Friday Check-In
- Please check in at the computer with Ken Baumgartner upon arrival.
- 3 scales will be used for weighing in contestants. Scales will be
open to check weights from 1:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Friday and from 7:30 a.m. to 7:45
a.m. on Saturday.
- Officials will check contestants for grooming and skin condition
before weighing in. A contestant cannot weigh in until he has passed grooming and skin
condition check. Any physicians notes/releases must be available for officials at
weigh in.
Passes / Admission
- Enclosed is an assigned number of participant passes (to be used for
wrestlers, coaches, school officials) based on the following:
1 competitor 2 additional passes
2 4 competitors 3 additional passes
5 or more competitors 4 additional passes
- Cheerleaders / Mat Maids 3 cheerleaders or 3 mat maids, not
both, will be admitted free, provided they are under the supervision of a sponsor or
cheerleader advisor. On Friday only, one more cheerleader / mat maid than the number of
mats being used will be admitted free.
- General Admission Adults - $6.00 per session
Students - $4.00 per session
Tournament Procedural Information
- 5 mats will be used Friday
- 15 officials all matches will have an Assistant Official
- 4 mats will be used in the 1st Session on Saturday
- 15 officials all matches will have an Assistant Official
- Only wrestlers in uniform and coaches with participation passes will
be allowed on the field house floor
- Only 2 coaches / team personnel will be permitted mat side
this will be strictly enforced
- Wrestlers will be called on-deck to a specific mat and should be
ready to wrestle (warm ups off and headgear on) as soon as the match before theirs on the
assigned mat is completed
Scoring / Awards
- 6 places will be scored the top 4 place winners in each weight
qualify for the OHSAA State Tournament
- Individual medals will be presented to the top 6 place winners in
each weight
- Team awards will be presented to the District Champion team and
Runner-Up
Videotaping
- All videotaping and photography must be done
from the spectator area and shall not interfere with the view of other spectators!
- A maximum of one school representative per participating school is
permitted to videotape tournament contests.
- Videotaping by spectators shall be for personal use and shall not be
used for the purpose of scouting or coaching.
- Videotaping shall not interfere with the view of the athletic contest
by other spectators.
- The tournament site accepts no liability for damage or theft of
spectator equipment or injury as a result of privately owned equipment.
- Equipment will not be permitted in any competition area only
in the spectator seating area.
- The tournament will not provide sources of power for video equipment.
- Violation of any of the above may result in the removal of the
offender form the premises.
