According to the
National Federation Rules 3-7-7 and 3-2-4
(r) at a meet where fully automatic timing is utilized the
games committee at that meet can establish a recall procedure where
there has been a malfunction in the FAT system.

These federation rules were always in effect,
but Ohio elected to bar their enforcement until the OHSAA voted
to rescind the prohibition on January 18..

At meets using Fully Automatic Timing,
the FAT operator can recall a race due to a
malfunction of their system, PROVIDED that it is
approved by the Games Committee.
