Cruiser Invitational - January 30, 2010
The
Cruiser Invitational will take place on January 30th, 2010 at the home of
the Groveport Madison Cruisers (Southeast Columbus). This years field is made up of
teams from all three divisions, a variety of conferences and all areas of the state.
The tournament will be a one-day, 12-man,
individual, bracket-style tournament. Each wrestler will be vying for an individual
championship, all the while helping his team to take home the team championship.
Awards:
Top 3 teams will be awarded plaques.
Top 6 wrestlers will be recognized, 2nd
and 3rd will receive medals and the champion of each weight class will receive
a T-shirt and their bracket board as a 24 x 36, framed, plexie glass fronted,
wall mountable award.

Nelsonville-York - 4th @ Steubenville District with 4 returning DQs; one a
champ (McLaughlin - 103), 2 SPs (McLaughlin - 5th, Moody - 8th)

Licking Valley - Return all nine DQs from 2009; one was a placer (Parsons - 6th)
Whitehall Yearling - Have 3 of 6 DQs returning; one that placed. (Clark - 6th)
Defiance - New Coach; return 4 of 6 DQs, all of whom won at least a match, one a 2x SP

Groveport Madison - Return 1 of 3 DQs in SQ Bailey
Logan - Return the entire line up from last season, including DQ Tucker
New Albany - Make the move to DI this year; 4 of their 9 DQs return
Olentangy Orange - Also make the move to DI this year; 4 DQs, all of whom return
Worthington Kilbourne - New coach; 2 DQs return from last year
