OHSAA District Tournament Help Files

1. District tournaments may use either the Baumspage Mobile Wrestling Manager Application or whatever program they are comfortable with.
   1. Please review the information below.
2. The Baumspage Mobile Wrestling Manager Application is a complete tournament management package!
   1. It runs in most web browsers but currently only Google Chrome is fully tested and supported.  It works equally well on both PCs and Macs.
   2. The application interfaces seamlessly with the Baumspage Online Entry System and was so user-friendly that 39 of the 48 sectionals and 9 of the 12 districts in Ohio used it in 2017.
   3. If the user is logged-in to their account on baumspage during the tournament, brackets and complete results will be updated and posted automatically throughout the tournament.
   4. The district tournament version is customized for the OHSAA State Tournament series and already includes school names and abbreviations used by the OHSAA.
   5. If the four sectionals that qualify to the district all use the Baumspage Mobile Application:
      1. Their qualifer data will be uploaded automatically to the file server when they post their final results.
      2. The district tournament manager will be able to login and import all four sets of data directly from the server.
      3. The pairings and participant pages will be generated automatically and everything can be posted as soon as the import is finished.
      4. Team Check-In Sheets and Weigh-In Sheets by weight class including the 4 alternates can printed when ready.
   6. There will be no data available until all four sectionals are finished, so tournament managers/computer support people are encouraged to experiment with the Baumspage Sample District tournament. 
      1. Follow directions in the Baumspage District Flowchart to experiment.
      2. Other than generating the pairngs from the OHSAA Pairings Formula instead of seeding and drawing, the program is identical to a 16-man bracket tournament.
      3. Checkout the application and experiment as necessary until you are comfortable.
      4. Let us know if you have questions or need help.
   7. During the tournament brackets and results will be posted automatically.
   8. At the end of the district tournament Complete Results, Final Brackets, and AP Style Results (for the newwspapers) will be posted with one-click of the Post Final Results to Baumspage button.
      1. The State Qualifier data and a Complete Backup of the database will be automatically uploaded to the server.
      2. Nothing will need to e-mailed to the OHSAA.
3. For district tournaments that do not use the Baumspage Mobile Wrestling Manager Application data will be transferred as usual.
   1. Do not change any team names when your files are received from the sectionals! 
      1. They match the OHSAA team names when generated from the baumspage database and will transfer all to way to the state tournament for teams and wrestlers that qualify.
   2. If the sectional tournaments use the Baumspage Mobile Application they will be able to e-mail an import file for TWT.
   3. If they use TWT or some other program, they can use the import/export functions to generate and e-mail their qualifier files.
   4. Ater the district tournament is finished, district managers/computer support people will need to generate and e-mail the State Qualifier files to support@baumspage.com as soon as possible after the tournament is finished.
      1. Please confirm with Gary Baumgartner/Terry Young what program you are using and what format is needed for your qualifier files.
      2. We will use our District Manager Converion Program to convert your State Qualifier data to the format required for import into the State Tournament Program.
         1. If you use The Wrestling Tourney follow the instructions in steps 7 and 8 in Using Baumspage and TWT to transfer your qualifiers.
         2. If you use some other program, you will need to generate an Excel file of qualifiers in the format needed for import into the State Tournament Program.
      3. Please setup a sample file and confirm the transfer process at least two weeks prior to the district tournament.
