Backup:
Use the File tab in upper left cornerSelect Backup
Accept the default folder - usually c:\tfmeets or change as appropriate
Click OK
- A message is not necessary, but if you want a message, click on Yes
and create a message.
- If not, click on No.
When the backup is complete, click OK at the bottom.
Hy-Tek automatically adds a hyphen and number after the file name so
more current backups may be identified.

Restore:
Use the File tab in upper left corner
Select Restore...
Choose the appropriate method by clicking the check box to the left.
Click OK
- Browse to the correct folder - usually c:\tfmeets
or whatever folder you are using
- Highlight the correct file and click on Open
Click OK to the warning about replacing
the current database .
- Click Yes to the warning about
overwriting current database.
Click OK when the Restore is complete.
Open the file and check data to make sure everything was restored.

Using Restore to Setup a New Meet:
- If you are ready to setup a new meet but have previously run that
meet or a similar type meet, you may want to follow these instructions to minimize the
amount of setup you will have to do for your new meet.
- Start TFWin-MM and make a Backup of
your previously completed meet to a diskette or the Hard Drive.
- If you are new to using TFWin-MM and have no Backup
of previous meets, download the Sample
District Backup first.
- Save it to your desktop, a folder on your hard drive
(usually c:\tfmeets) or a diskette.
Use the File tab in upper left corner
Select Restore...
- Check the box: Unzip, copy database to a selected folder, and
open this new database
- Check the box: Rename database and type in a
new database name.
Click OK
Follow Restore Instructions above
After the Database has been restored:
- Click File | Purge
| Remove Data Selectively.
- Please refer to the Purge section for details
After purging, click on Set-up | Meet Set-up
- Change the name and dates for your meet as well as any other
parameters that are different.
- Check all the event parameters to make they are appropriate for your
meet!
Using this procedure, you will always have your meets saved on your
Hard Drive as well as on a diskette and you will minimize the amount of time and effort
required to set up a new meet.
